"Hey! Ampleforth is cool, I bought some"
"Oh yeah "
"I can earn some simply by holding it"
"Oh yeah like other altcoins"
"No!"
"Why no? explain to me!"
Ampleforth's vocation is to maintain the coin price around 1$, but they try to be not correlated to an asset like other stablecoins, in order to do that, they're using an elastic method !
To be clear AMPL is like a stablecoin but the difference is that the technology maintain the price in an elastic way, using a process named the "rebase".
The rebase is correlated to the Ampleforth's capitalisation, so you're balance is always adjusting and if the capitalisation go up, you're balance is going up, and the rebase adjust your number of token after the protocol readjust the price around 1 dollar.
So in fact you can earn but you not staking them (lol), your balance increase after rebase readjust the AMPL's price around 1$
Now try to look smart by repeating what I wrote with friends and family !
Tell me guys if it's clear and if you understand it !
Sorry for my english ;)
