It is believed that the Pink Lake is the remains of the prehistoric Lemurian Sea. Periodically, the water in the lake recedes, and you find yourself on a beach of pink salt - thanks to microorganisms called lake plankton, which give this color. It is very beautiful here, the eyes run up from the landscapes.
Lemurian lake for its salinity and healing properties is called the Ukrainian Dead Sea. There is every reason for this: the water here is the same salty - 300 grams per liter. What does it mean? At least the fact that you can just lie down on the water and lie down without making any effort. But this is not the main thing. The water and mud of the bays are extremely beneficial to health.
This place is not for those who are used to 5 stars in hotels and with all the ensuing circumstances, but for those who want to improve their health. At first I myself did not believe in the "magic" of the lake, but having been there for a while and talking with people who came there not for the first time - the "magic" turned out to be a reality and YES - it really helps. So it’s worth going there or not, I’ll say it’s worth it.
When to go to Pink Lake?
If you are planning to go, then the optimal season to visit the lake is mid-summer. At the height of the hot season, the water actively evaporates, and the remaining water acquires an even more intense pink color. Be sure to take safety slippers with you - these are rubberized shoes that fit snugly around your feet and help you avoid cutting your feet on sharp crystals of salt, a towel and flip flops. You will need a lot of water in plastic bottles, since after the lake the salt will dry out and shaking it off the body is practically impossible. The territory of the lake cannot be called fully equipped. It's more of a wild resort.
How to get to Lemurian (pink) lake
The road here is not the easiest, but after driving a little along the dirt road, inhaling the dust of the local wild steppes, it is worth the impressions of the lake. The easiest way to get here is from Kherson, where trains, buses and planes run from different regions of Ukraine. If you go by car, you need to move along the Kakhovka-Armyansk highway and turn towards Chaplinka. From there the road leads to the village of Grigorievka, then another 4 kilometers to go to the lake itself. By the way, some people think that the lake is in Grigorievka, but to see the pink beauty, you need to get to Ivanovka
Medicinal properties of the Lemurian lake
From the point of view of medicinal properties, the pink lake is a unique, amazing place. It is this rose water, interacting with the Sivash mud, significantly enhances their quality.
The pink color of the lake water is due to iodine-bromine compounds. Therefore, the main use of such water in neurological practice is vegetative-vascular dystonia, insomnia. In skin practice - (psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and other pathologies that are difficult to treat traditionally), chronic joint diseases (arthritis, polyarthritis, arthrosis), vascular disease, upper respiratory tract (especially rhinitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis). But the most interesting, in my opinion, in the use of this rose water, as regards the content of the so-called foliculin-like substances. This is something that is very good for women suffering from inflammatory diseases of the reproductive system, which are accompanied by infertility. Also, almost all bronchopulmonary diseases, including bronchial asthma. It is also pure breathing - such patients breathe well. In addition, there is also healing mud. There are legends about the healing mud of the pink lake - black, oily, like a cream and very "active". People who come here to rest and be treated, say that mud baths work miracles for the body, healing and rejuvenating. And this is not a myth, but a reality. By the way, the Sivash mud is certified and officially recognized as healing; it is sold in six European countries.
Do not forget that for such an "active" treatment it is imperative to consult a doctor!
This is the place for fantastic photos! People come to the lake not only to improve their health, but also to admire the unearthly landscapes. Soft rose water, white salt shores and the scorching sun create the illusion of something unreal. There are amazing sunsets ...
