I am coming back to make a blog after a really long time. The reason for that is last month I was going deep down the InfoFI meta which is shaping up on X (aka Twitter) and now I want to share why I think this will be the leading Meta in the coming Crypto Cycle.

Each cycle has it’s own favourite narrative which gives disproportionately high rewards to early adopters. We have seen it happen earlier with DeFI, Memes, NFTs, Ordinals, Airdrop farming and now is the turn of InfoFI.

What Exactly is InfoFI?

Simply put InfoFI is the mechanism of rewarding powerful influencers also called KOLs in alignment to the contribution they make in creating awareness about a project.

This awareness is measured by a metric called Mindshare which is linked to the views/impressions generated for a project on X.

This started as a small experimental setup by Kaito late last year and has now grown into a full blown industry. Users who were early to Kaito ate well but I think the InfoFI meta is just getting started and the coming period will see it reach it’s full potential.

Which InfoFI Platform is best for you?

There are new InfoFI platforms coming up everyday now so you need to be selective about which platform you want to join considering which platform looks long term sustainable and which model will work best for your profile.

I am sharing below some of the best options available as of today but you will need to decide for yourself what will work best for you as being successful in it will need a lot of effort to be dedicated by you.

#1. Kaito

This is the OG InfoFI platform and has a clear advantage of being the first mover in the space and coming up with the whole concept.

It is now having it’s own share of challenges as it struggles to control spam and bots and the threat of being de-throned by new platforms.

It still does remain as the most recognised InfoFI platform by projects and hosts the highest number of campaigns with the biggest reward pools at any given time.

If you already have a good footprint in Kaito it will make your journey much easier.

If you meet the following criteria then Kaito should be your main focus:

1. You have a big account on X with more than 10K active followers
2. You post detailed original content on X regularly that is appreciated by project teams

#2. ARBUS

This is a platform that started exclusively for mindshare programs of Virtuals projects but is now extending beyond Virtuals ecosystem. It earlier saw participation only from OG members of Virtuals but is now seeing interest from some KOLs as well. Still it is a good option for smaller accounts. 

If you meet the following criteria you should definitely try ARBUS:

1. You have less than 5K followers on, though having more will surely be an advantage
2. You are familiar with Virtuals project or in general are interested in AI projects as you will only be able to sustain long term if you genuinely like making such content

#3. WallChain

What makes this platform unique is that it rewards only those accounts that post only for the projects in the campaigns and does not post other content.

You will be a good fit if:

1. You are OK to post only about WallChain campaigns and are not chasing any other campaigns
2. You have more than 1K followers on X, higher will be an edge but not a deal breaker

#4. Cookie

Cookie is very different from other platforms and even I have not been able to understand it well so far. In my experience it is quite erratic- sometimes u get good rewards sometimes u don’t. So far I have received good rewards only for 1 campaign which was for Spain project.

I think following criteria work well on Wallchain:

1. You make long form detailed content which should be unique
2. You post regularly for the campaigns and avoid making too many posts for other projects

One thing is clear that next set of big gains are going to be made through InfoFI, it is already replacing the traditional form of airdrops with more n more projects using Mindshare metrics to reward users.

One important factor for succeeding in InfoFI is having a active network of like minded people who collaborate with you in your journey.
