The Basic Attention Token is another asset I am not completely familiar with so just like Ampleforth yesterday, it is time for a dive into that coin.

As we look on the chart we see a high of over 73c in the beginning of 2018. Just like the Basic Attention Token most other Altcoins were heading downwards after that. Bat hit a low of 7c before starting to rise again. At the moment it is trading at 24.2777 cents.

Within seconds the Ico sold out at 3c per token. Total supply is one billion coins.

The co-founder of Mozilla and Firefox, Brendan Eich wanted to improve the fairness,security and efficiency of digital advertising.
That is why he came up with the idea of a token that runs on top of Ethereum as an Erc20 token, that would be the future native token of their Brave web browser. Brave blocks all the unneeded ads and trackers and what is best it does this without any bias.
So what does the Basic Attention Token do:
It cuts out the middlemen in advertising and rewards users, publishers, and advertisers.
Users get paid for giving attention to ads.
Publishers get a portion of the ad revenue.
Advertisers get better ROI for their content.
This is why the Basic Attention Token was brought to life to enhance the efficiency of digital advertising by creating a token that can be exchanged on many centralised and decentralized exchanges.(List posted below)
The token can also be used to buy a variety of advertising and attention-based services on the Basic Attention platform.
The utility of the token is based on user attention, which simply means a person’s focused mental engagement.
In the brave browser the token is rewarded to viewers of the advertisements.

Well this all sounds great one would say, well I do. Diving a bit deeper into the use case of the BAT token I got to say, this seems to work out great for everyone, the publisher the advertiser and the user. For readers like you and me we experience fewer ads and at the same time we are not giving up our data privacy rights and if we decide we can even earn for clicking on the inherent advertisments.
