Bitcoin goes Below $76K, and Ethereum down 8% as $1 Billion Liquidated

Cryptocurrency market has today facing severe downturn ride as selling pressure washes over digital assets. Bitcoin (BTC) has officially broken below the critical $76,000 support level, dragging the broader market down with it. Ethereum (ETH) has borne the brunt of the altcoin carnage, plunging more than 8% within a 24-hour window.

The sudden drop gas triggered massive flush of leverage which whipped positions of worth $1 billion and it punished over leveraged traders who were caught off guard by that move.

Now the root of this crypto sell lie highly in gtraditional finance market. Digital assets tightly mirroring a massive correction in U.S. equities, particularly tech and AI-focused stocks.

The Nasdaq composite plunged between 4 to 5%, fueled by deep route in a semiconductor and chip-manufacturing shares. As institutional investors rushed to de-risk their portfolios, crypto often viewed as the ultimate high risk asset and was among the first sectors to face aggressive liquidation.

Adding the macroeconomic anxiety are the unfolding implication of US midterm elections. Traders are actively repositioning their portfolios as market prices are in changing political landscape, alongside brewing expectations of tighter regulatory scrutiny targeting both artificial intelligence and digital asset ecosystems.

• Bitcoin (BTC)

After losing its grip on the upper $70,000 range, BTC dipped to intra-day lows near $75,989. Analysts are now closely watching to see if buyers can reclaim $76,500 or if a deeper correction toward the $72,000 support zone is on the horizon.

• Ethereum (ETH)

Ether suffered a steeper decline, sliding roughly 8% to trade near $2,252. The sharp drop highlights ongoing concerns over ETH's relative weakness against Bitcoin during broader market pullbacks.

And then bleeding wasn't confined to top two crypto assets. High flying altcoins took massive hit as liquidity evaporated.

• Solana (SOL) felt the squeeze acutely tumbling downword the $90 threshold.

• XRP gave up recent gains, tightly defending the $1.24 mark.

So with over $1 billion in long positions entirely wiped out, the market derivatives data suggests that a significant amount of froth has been cleared from the system. However, until the volatility in the traditional tech sector settles and clarity emerges from macro political shifts, the crypto market is likely to experience continued choppy, risk-off behavior.

Traders should exercise extreme caution, watch equity market correlation closely and expect heightened volatility over coming weekend.

Now what are your thoughts on sudden drop of Market? is it's for self correction of more pain in head ? let me know in comments section!
