If you're asking yourself if right now is a great time to jump to crypto, you're already making a critical rookie mistake. Crypto investing and value-building simply doesn't happen by catching key moments. It happens through long-term holding and position building as well as through networking and gaining insider opportunities before the big crowd starts to move. Again and again, the late summer seems to be some kind of seasonal opportunity when people have spare money and start getting fidgity with their trading accounts. And all it does is make everyone else a bit richer to their rookie expense.
Growth Happens in the First Part of the Year
Traditionally, most business and economic movement tends to happen between February and June. By the time July is rolling around, most major offices are finishing off the last of their transactions for tax reporting as well as accounting period closing, and earning reports as well as audit reports fill up the dog days of closing summer before the winter holiday season comes in. Crypto, of course, isn't automatically tied to fiat economic seasons, but it is driven by the availability of cash that people can spare for buying positions.
Bubbles, Tiny Bubbles!
I love Banter Bubbles as a quick market overview site to check in terms of what's going on with crypto markets. However, even with something so simplistic, a user still needs to pay attention to changes over time. For example, if one looked at the grid today, you would think the market has been doing wonderful and its time to jump in!
However, if one toggles the view out to a month, it's not such a rosy landscape.
And that difference can mean losing one's shirt just following a momentary positive indicator into a money pit.
Again, the primary way to building real value with crypto involves doing your own research and networking for advantages. If you're not doing those two activities on a regular basis, you're better off putting your money in Exxon stock. At least there you know people will be needing gasoline and oil for the next 50 years for sure.
