It has certainly been a very trying and intense past couple of weeks for all cryptocurrency inclined people and enthusiasts the world over. The jury is still out on what caused this recent crash, however, its impact has been far reaching and very real. People have lost millions of dollars during this dip, and while some remain firm believers that the bullish run of crypto is still on, and that its recovery is sure, some others have been gripped with fear and panic and have either pulled out or strongly considering pulling out of the crypto world altogether.
I personally have skin in the game, and for all intents and purposes, I have not pulled out of the game. Of course, this may largely be due to the fact that while I am able to earn crypto from various endeavours I engage in, it is still quite tedious (howbeit possible) for me to withdraw my earnings to fiat currency in my country. There is an existing ban on local banks in my country which prohibits them from supporting cryptocurrency transactions. I can't deny that this reality might have influenced my decision to still HODL, however, I know for sure that if I really wanted to pull my earnings out, I would find a way.
Now, back to the subject of this post. Publish0x is a platform I joined earlier in the year, and it has been a great place for me to learn more about cryptocurrency and gain insight on many things generally. It has also been a good place for me to gauge the temperature of things as you will agree that dealing with cryptocurrency is never as straightforward as any one can boast of understanding it. Regardless, I have identified a few voices and authors that I have either benefitted from their thought process or just really enjoyed their writing here.
While I would normally wake up to see notifications of published posts from some of these authors on here, I noticed that over the last couple of days this has not been the case. I have been wondering what could possibly be the reason why these brilliant authors, in their own rights, have not published or not published as often as they used to? Could it be that the crash hit them hard personally? Or, could they just be taking a break and naturally have a lot going on in their personal lives during this time, and it is all just a coincidence that the crash happened at this time as well? Either ways, during previous 'recent' dips (even though none can be compared to this very recent dip) I have silently relied on their energy and enthusiasm to keep believing that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Don't get me wrong though, I still believe there is light at the end of the tunnel, and I quite believe Bitcoin and others will rise again and soon too. But there is just some comfort derived from hearing or in this case reading other 'believers' express their confidence that it is all going to be okay.
So, to acesontop, BitcoinGordon, johnwege, PierreL, BlacKween and BitcoinBaby this post is to let you all know that you are some of my favourite authors here on Publish0x. I always look forward to reading from you, and I am hoping this crash did not hit you so hard, and even if it did, that you are able to recover and that our favourite currency rises and indeed shoots for the moon (for lack of better expression of optimism).
I look forward to reading from you all again soon!
