How I Pick Crypto Launch Pools (Even With a Small Budget)

By Cloudy12 | Crypto Hustle NG | 6 Aug 2025

When I first got into launch pools, I had less than $2 worth of Ethereum in my wallet. Not enough to do anything fancy, right? But since I’ve been in crypto for a while, I already knew about Launch Pools on Gate.io — I just hadn’t really tried one seriously until then. That’s when I realized even small investors like me could participate in new token projects.

Here’s exactly how I pick launch pools — and why I staked just $1.51 in one recently.

🧐 How I Got Into Launch Pools

I’ve known about launch pools for a while, but this is the first one I’m actually sticking with from start to finish.

One day, while scrolling through the Gate.io app again, I went into the Earn section and tapped on Launch Pool — and boom, I saw a list of new tokens being launched, where you could stake coins like ETH or USDT to earn rewards.

No one told me about it. I just found it by exploring the app. And I’m glad I did.

💭 Why I Decided to Join (Even With Small ETH)

Even though I had only $1.51 worth of ETH at the time, I still joined because:

  • I was curious about how it works,

  • I wanted to grow my ETH passively,

  • And I also wanted to add a new token to my portfolio.

It felt like a low-risk way to learn and try something new.

🔍 What I Look At Before Picking Any Launch Pool

Before I join a launch pool, I always check:

  • The APR (Annual Percentage Rate) — higher APR means better rewards.

  • Whether the token is already listed or still upcoming.

  • How many days the staking will last.

If the token is already listed, I go and check its current price too. That helps me figure out if it’s just hype or something with real potential.

💡 Why I Picked DELABS Over ALEO

When I joined recently, I had two options: DELABS and ALEO.
At first, ALEO looked more attractive — its token price was around $0.28 while DELABS was about $0.017. But after doing some digging, I found that ALEO might just be getting hyped without much backing.

DELABS, on the other hand, looked more solid and had longer staking days, giving me more time to earn rewards. So even though it was cheaper, I chose DELABS.

✍️ My Advice for Anyone With Just $1–$2

If you’re like me — starting with just a few dollars — here’s what I’d tell you:

  • Do your research before joining any launch pool.

  • Don’t chase hype — popular doesn’t always mean profitable.

  • Be patient and don’t panic if prices drop or move slowly.

It’s not about flipping coins overnight. It’s about learning and growing your portfolio step by step.

Staking in launch pools has become one of my favorite ways to grow my tiny crypto bag without stress. It doesn’t cost gas fees, it’s beginner-friendly, and it teaches you how to spot potential in early-stage tokens.

Even with $1.51, I’m already earning rewards — and I’m excited to see how this plays out.
