Conor Grogan, a Coinbase director, has been digging into Satoshi Nakamoto's identity. Despite massive attempts by both Bitcoin supporters and opponents, BTC creator's genuine identity has remained unknown. Even the HBO documentary couldn't find it. Conor's discoveries have, however, raised some intriguing questions.
Conor's bet on Kraken exchange via CaVirtEx
Conor claims that Satoshi's most commonly used address is related to the Canadian exchange CaVirtEx , where 24 transfer transactions have been documented. Kraken acquired CaVirtEx in 2016, prompting Conor to believe that Kraken may be aware of Satoshi. Kraken, on the other hand, has consistently responded with the well-known phrase "We are all Satoshi."
My Point
I believe that Satoshi was a staunch proponent of privacy; it is unlikely that he would have provided personal information to anyone. Moreover, Satoshi Nakamoto's last recorded on-chain action occurred in 2014, and exchanges were just being started; KYC requirements for such sites were not even acknowledged, so there is hardly any way Kraken will know unless its founder is Satoshi himself.
