Read.Cash | TLDR
What is Read.Cash? For those of you who don’t know, ReadCash is a crypto writing site for authors that pays out in Bitcoin Cash (BCH). The latter part is what drove many to the site, and it was one of my top earners for a long time.
It is back. I haven’t checked it out fully. There is a new reward system with KT tokens. And the underlying token still seems to be BCH (I could be wrong; I am still checking it out).

I had been posting on the site for a long time, but over the last couple of years the site had dulled down a bit. The reason was obvious - payouts were a bit lax and relied solely on the auto-tipping bot and not on individuals acknowledging and tipping others. As with any social experiment, when the site relies too heavily on just the site owner and not the content user, that system would likely crash out. I think that’s what happened.
The site was earlier not generating much content, and it eventually just didn’t allow posting. So, a few months back I had covered the site, and most users said that the site is done and dusted. Find new avenues was the take.
How wrong they were? All right, how wrong me too. 😊
The New Layout | The Same Old Site
The latter part is what makes it exciting. The same old website is still on, but now with a new layout and a new working structure. There seems to be an added impetus to tipping other users and, therefore, engagement on the site. The current tipping token is KT (I guess it stands for Karma Token), and every new user starts with 120 of those. We can tip KTs, and there will be 40 KTs added back to us every 24 hours, with a maximum limit of 200. Meaning, if my KT available to me is 200, then I won’t get an additional 40 KTs the next day. Interesting, if you ask me!
That said, the wallet still shows BCH. I have no clue what the connection is between KT and BCH. I am not even sure there is a relation. But the site, for once, looks lush with interactions. And that’s a welcome sign; for me, at least.
