Does it even matter honestly? Not really and it's not a big deal. In my opinion, Steemit has failed as a blockchain-based social media network. Its users were supposed to be incentivized for contributing quality content in Steem dollars and Steem tokens. I would know because I used to post frequently on there.
For me, Steemit was just a learning experience, not something to take seriously as far as earning something is concerned. Except for a maybe around $100, I did not earn much. It was only the "whales" who paid money or had some other type of stake in Steemit that were able to earn. That's fine, but then do not call yourself decentralized and equitable, etc etc.
Even if Steemit moves from EOS to Tron, it is just moving from one centralized platform to another. As the recent IOTA network hack should tell you, its creators can just shut down the master node if anything goes wrong. Same sort of thing applies to Tron and EOS because these networks can be shut down at will by a select few people. Don't be silly, there's no such thing as decentralization in crypto at the moment.
Don't get me wrong...we will be able to achieve decentralization at some point. What we are seeing are very, very, very early versions of these networks and they are being marketed or advertised as full-blown, scalable, peer to peer wonders - which they are not! Some people might be gullible enough to believe that but not those who come from a technical background and have some common sense!
