Detective Elent was called to investigate a strange disappearance in a small town. A woman had vanished from her home without a trace. Elent interviewed the woman's husband and friends, but no one could provide any useful information.

As he was leaving the town, Elent decided to stop at a local bakery to get some baklava for the road. As he was paying for his pastry, he noticed a strange woman staring at him from across the street. She seemed to be following him, and Elent felt a chill run down his spine.

He quickly got in his car and drove away, but he couldn't shake the feeling that the woman was still watching him. When he arrived back at the police station, he decided to do some research on the town's history.

As it turned out, the town had a dark past. A hundred years ago, a woman had been accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake. Her spirit was said to haunt the town to this day, seeking revenge on those who had wronged her.

Elent realized that the woman who had disappeared was a descendant of the woman who had been burned at the stake. He had to act fast before the witch's curse claimed another victim.

He raced back to the town and searched for the missing woman. Finally, he found her locked in a room in the old abandoned house where the accused witch had lived. Elent freed the woman and they escaped just as the old house collapsed behind them.

As they drove away, Elent felt a sense of relief. He had solved the case and saved the woman from the witch's curse. And as he enjoyed his delicious baklava, he knew that he would never forget the strange and mysterious town where he had solved his latest case.

So why not eat a delicious baklava?

  • 500 g flour

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a large baking tray with melted butter.

  4. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.

  7. Brush the last sheet of dough with melted butter.
  8. Cut the baklava into diamonds with a sharp knife.
  9. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  10. While the baklava is in the oven, prepare the syrup by mixing the sugar, honey, and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 15 minutes.
  11. Pour the hot syrup over the hot baklava. Let cool before serving.
