If you're checking the Altcoins market rather often, you probably heard about EGLD token. Indeed, it has known a huge growth since MAIAR, the Elrond application, has been launched. It touched the 200 $ but now knows a little correction.

Real fundamentals

When you're searching for an Altcoin with very high potential, first thing you need to do is to see if the fundamentals are concrete and relevant.

So what is EGLD ? It is the token from the Elrond blockchain. This blockchain uses the sharding technology. To sum up very fast and try to be clear with simple words, the transaction are separated and operated in an optimized order, which makes them faster with less fees (Ethereum 2.0 will use the same technology). So first point, the technology, is validated.

Now let's have a look at the tokenomics, which is also a very important aspect, that investors sometimes forget or underestimate the importance. Benjamin Mincu and his team have rebranded the Elrond token in E-Gold token. Literally the digital gold, due to its scarcity. Indeed, there will only be around 31 million EGLD tokens in the supply. However, for each transaction on the network, some EGLD will be burnt, which makes him even more rare.

That's the will of the team to create an inflation model for their token.

A brilliant CEO, Benjamin Mincu

If you've never heard of him, don't worry, I think he is going to make a lot of noise. Benjamin Mincu is the Romanian CEO of Elrond, former developper for the NEM team. I think his long term vision is brilliant, he is very ambitious and wants to propulse Elrond to the top of the blockchain project. In multiple interviews, he says that he wants Elrond to be a pioneer of the future blockchain ecosystem, when it will be mainstream.

Adoption is the key word for Benjamin, he wants to bring crypto to a new level with an agressive marketing such as the "hypergrowth" for Elrond on Twitter. He gives many interviews such as the one you can see just below, made on a French Youtube channel (in English don't worry).
