Sometimes I think one of the most expensive things in crypto is conviction.

Not intelligence.
Not timing.

Because conviction sounds like a virtue.

It sounds strong. Disciplined. Visionary!

People admire it.

You hear it everywhere in this space.

“I believe in the project”
“I’m here for the long term”
“Strong fundamentals”

And sometimes that’s true.

But sometimes conviction is just another way of saying you stopped questioning your position.

The market moves.
Narratives shift.
New information appears.
Entire sectors rise and fall in a matter of months.

But many investors don’t move with it.

They stay.

Not because the opportunity is still there, but because changing your mind feels like admitting you were wrong.

And being wrong hurts more than losing money slowly.

So people hold.

They defend their bags.
They repeat the same arguments.
They wait for the market to eventually validate them.

Sometimes it does.

But often it doesn’t.

Crypto is not a courtroom where conviction wins the case.
It’s closer to a storm.

And storms don’t care what you believe.

They move anyway.

The investors who survive long enough eventually learn something uncomfortable.

Flexibility is far more valuable than conviction.

Being able to say “I was wrong” quickly is a skill.
Being able to leave a narrative before it collapses is a skill.

Conviction, on the other hand, can quietly turn into attachment.

And attachment is expensive.

Because the market does not reward belief.

It rewards adaptation!
