We like to think we’re in charge of our bodies… but the truth is most of our organs run themselves.
Our hearts keep beating, our lungs keep breathing and our liver and kidneys work tirelessly without us lifting a finger.
Even something as simple as a toothache reminds us we can’t always fix things on our own. We need help!
And then there are the things we can’t see... bacteria, viruses, tiny microbes that can sneak in and make us sick.
It’s wild when you think about it. Something invisible, something you can’t control can bring your body down.
That’s the reality of being human: we’re fragile whether we like it or not.

Now imagine a loved one gets seriously ill.
You take them into the operating room and… that’s it.
You don’t know what happens next.
Who’s taking care of them? What are they doing?
You hand over the people you care about most to strangers’ hands.
It feels wrong. It shouldn’t be this way.
But it is. And there’s nothing you can do except trust!

Yes, it sucks. It really does.
Feeling powerless, realizing how little control you have over your own life and the lives of those you love is terrifying.
But maybe this is what being human is all about.
Accepting it, feeling it, sitting with it.
When we see our own fragility, we start to understand others’.
That fear outside the operating room?
The helplessness?
The tiny invisible threats?
They’re part of the quiet lessons of life!

Being human is weird.
It’s being strong and aware, yet still a “guest” in your own body.
It’s being independent and completely dependent at the same time.
That thin line between having control and needing help is one of the most fundamental truths of life.
Maybe being human isn’t just about surviving.
Maybe it’s about understanding our limits, embracing our fragility and realizing we’re never truly alone!
