Today Coinbase officially announced what day it would be listed in the NASDAQ. After a slight delay Coinbase has decided to list itself in two weeks on April 14th. This has really sorted itself out rather quickly since just a few weeks ago they had decided to delay the listing.

Coinbase has previously announced it would be going public via direct listing. This is huge for sure et stake holder as they will not have to deal with a lock up period and will be able to sell their shares from day one. This type of listing also does not ha e new shares being issued. This is common for most companies IPO as they use the listing as a way to raise more money for the company.

Even as tech companies have had a pretty turbulent time recently Coinbase continues to not really be affected. The price range they have announced will be between $300 to $350 a share leading to the company being valued at at least $100 million. This is remarkable given that it will be worth more then other long time tech darling like Uber! Even more important is that recently these highly anticipated IPO has led to companies being listed above the range value and also companies exploding in value the first day or trading. This could lead to an even larger company value then $100 billion!

I cannot wait to see how the first exchange fares on the stock market. This will be a true test to see how investors and institutions are feeling about the crypto market. Coinbases whole company is built around it it makes money 100% from it so those who invest are investing in a crypto future!
