For most of this year Candy Digital has had its roadmap listed on its website allowing users to track their progress. Naturally, it was not as straight of a line as everyone would have hoped. While reasons vary from adding in new products that previously were not anticipated to the crypto winter setting in Candy has now released a newly updated road map.  

The new map in particular highlights things that will be occurring soon while also including those things that will be added hopefully in 2023 and onward. Some of these things have already occurred since I am writing this a couple of weeks after the announcement but there is still plenty to talk about. Below is the roadmap and how Candy broke down different targets (Early Fall, Late Fall, Winter, and 2023 & Onward).

From the Early Fall category, some of the offerings, challenges, and features have already been completed or are currently ongoing. Others on the other hand I have yet to see really roll out and if they have the update did not change the outlook all that much.

When looking at the Late Fall and Winter sections some really important steps/actions will occur. Candy has decided to take whatever remaining packs they have this year and mix those different packs up for purchase after the Titan Rarity burning challenge is completed. Finally being able to connect your collection to a wallet is huge and vital in allowing users to finally withdraw their funds via USDC. USDC appeared to be the clear choice when the NFT markets started to suffer and crypto prices plummeted.

Candy was also chosen to launch the Getty Images Platform for NFTs and so that will be a huge thing for them to pull off this winter. During the winter as well the MLB/2021 Candy Jerseys will finally be given some sort of functionality or redeemability but it is not known what it would be. Talk about this ranged from a special set of collectibles to real-world goods to even being used in some sort/way in the Metaverse. Which metaverse and what it was do in said metaverse was never known but it was an idea that was tossed around. 

Starting next year and moving forward I like what Candy is talking about with refining different things on the site that could use some change. Adding additional utility and features like auctions and offers is another huge thing that would help attract more people in the sports collectible world. Candy has come a long way since it first launched around this time last year. From adding various new sports to branching out into TV they have continued to build out a better and better platform for people to go to.
