Last year the Brave Team announced a new wallet was being built upon the Solana blockchain and at the end of the year that new Brave Wallet went live for desktop users. Now months later the Brave Team has finally brought the Brave Wallet to mobile devices. Interestingly enough this has been to both popular options Andriod and iOS. 

If you did not know Apple has previously made Brave change its app and made them get rid of the BAT earning function for iOS versions because it "violated the app store policy". By that it was Brave did not pay a 30% cut of BAT to Apple instead giving the BAT earned to... well users like they created the token for. This has definitely hampered the adoption of the mobile version of Brave but important developments like this are key to spurring that growth when a big reason for using it has been taken out. 

Easily the most important thing about this integration is that users can now sign their transactions in a privacy-preserving browser. That is not guaranteed in other DApps like MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc. If you do use a mobile browser as well you would have to toggle back in forth between apps to sign and that just adds an extra step that an issue or error could occur. Brave Wallets integration solves this and puts everything in one place for the ease of users which naturally is going to be something that individuals like myself love to see developed. Easy like this is almost priceless and extremely encouraging to see. It would make a ton of sense to see them only roll this out on Android so I am ecstatic to see it also on the iOS version. 

It goes without saying that it has been a rough year for Solana. Not only is it a crypto winter but FTX's collapse and the subsequent domino effect could have easily collapsed this blockchain. Now long-term something like this still could happen but more importantly, Solana has shown that it is not going to go down without a fight. Most crypto applications start out focused on one blockchain and Brave has chosen Solana but I fully expect that long term they will be adding additional blockchains as we have often seen in this industry.
