For those who don't know me, allow me to first and foremost introduce myself as an avid gamer. If there's one thing that's fascinated me thoroughly in the vast world of cryptocurrency, it's the abundance of games and metaverses that exist on the blockchain. And if any of these experiences are free to play, you can bet I'm definitely going to dive right in and explore whatever there is to offer!
The Bitcoin Cyber City on AltSpaceVR may not exactly be on the blockchain, but it is worth noting because it is a free-to-play experience that immerses you into a cyberpunk city decorated with many tributes to the world of cryptocurrency. According to this world's description on the AltSpaceVR hub, the #BitcoinCyberCity Bitcoin world is a project created by Swiss Crypto Cat for CitadelleVR.
I should also like to disclose that I am not sponsored or endorsed by Swiss Crypto Cat, CitadelleVR, AltSpaceVR, or the #BitcoinCyberCity - though low-key, I would be absolutely giddy and thrilled if they did - I just appreciate their work because they created such a unique experience for crypto enthusiasts and anyone with access to a PC or VR headset to play!
Rather Explore This For Yourself Before Being Potentially Spoiled By My Ramblings? No Problem!
Here's a quick breakdown of how to access the Bitcoin Cyber City in case you're unfamiliar with AltSpaceVR.
1. Create an account on AltSpaceVR - you'll need this to be able to access the Bitcoin Cyber City, as this world is part of a beta feature.
2. After creating your account, add the #BitcoinCyberCity world to your favorites - this just makes the world easier to access when you launch the game.
3. Download and install AltSpaceVR to your desktop or VR headset (I installed it through Steam) - it's okay if you're like me and too broke for a VR headset; you can still play the game and explore the city in 2D mode on your PC.
4. Launch the game, open your settings, and under "General" toggle "Enable Worlds Beta" on.

5. From there, you should see the Worlds (beta) menu item appear - from which you can access the Bitcoin Cyber City from your favorites (see Step 2 for how to do this in case you missed it).
6. Have fun exploring the Bitcoin Cyber City and tell me all about it in the comments below!
A Warm Welcome Into The Bitcoin Cyber City

Upon loading into the cryptocurrency-themed urban jungle, we are greeted with a tip from the creator. Players are given the opportunity to discover secret rooms and Easter Eggs while also encountering crypto art from Bitcoin Artists. In addition, this city is the social hub for weekly meetups every Saturday at 9:30PM UTC+2. I haven't had the opportunity to make it to one of these meetups, but from what is posted on CitadelleVR's Twitter page, they definitely look fun!
CryptoArt Galore In This City
Featuring contributions from different artists, this virtual city is decorated with all sorts of tributes to cryptocurrency! I took plenty of screenshots that I'm happy to share but I encourage everyone to check out the experience as well. Who knows? Maybe you might find something I missed! And if you do, please feel free to share in the comments below! Without further ado, here's a sample of what you can encounter when it comes to crypto artwork in the virtual city:

Not gonna lie: I dig the crypto-spoof of Goku in the top left corner.

"ZUCKERBERG IS WATCHING" - A nod to a phenomenal literary masterpiece by George Orwell while also addressing issues with privacy in social media platforms like Facebook. I can definitely respect the message with this piece!

"KYC: DON'T SUBMIT: YOU HAVE A CHOICE!" - An interesting take on criticisms regarding KYC checks in certain crypto platforms.

"IN BITCOIN WE TRUST" - Featuring the iconic Guy Fawkes mask we've all come to know and love. And in the sky, there's a Bitcoin shining down upon us like a moon - to which I can't help but interpret it as: "Bitcoin has no need to go to the moon. It IS the moon."

BTC & USDT tributes here in their element. No further comments needed.

Translation according to Google: "Dad, what is the money?" - Oh, and you can shoot some hoops here in this area!

Inside a building is a reminder about the Bitcoin Meetups every Saturday along with more art!

"Only Bitcoin Can Save You From Financial Ruin" - Not sure when this was first created but it definitely stands true today! Hodling on to your Bitcoin pays off in the long run.

This painting even features a QR code in case visitors wish to support the artist. If you have the means, I encourage showing these artists some love and support for their work!

"Bitcoin Accepted Here" - Featuring spoofs of popular logos with a Bitcoin twist! I also like how this envisions a world in which cryptocurrency can be exchanged for goods on a regular basis.

Ran into this neat illustration that contains a QR code which leads to the white paper for Bitcoin! This piece is both creative and informative!

A tiny Satoshi in a tiny Bitcoin factory: it's too cute, I had to include it.

One of the hidden Easter Eggs featured in the Bitcoin Cyber City. In fact, CitadelleVR hosted a Satoshi-coin giveaway a few weeks ago to award anyone who could find this little gem first. They're still updating this virtual world, so be sure to check their Twitter page to stay up to date on any special events or challenges!

And here we have a supply crate full of FOMOTONIN. As someone who studies pharmaceutical sciences, I appreciate this little gem.

I took the liberty of looking this one up so I could be familiar with the reference. This is actually a nod to Unicorn Wear - an online boutique that accepts payments in Bitcoin!

To hodl or not to hodl: that is the question. A tongue-in-cheek jab at the bear market is a must-have in a city dedicated to cryptocurrency.

I personally really like both of these digital works of art featuring cyberpunk themes, Guy Fawkes, and Bitcoin. The color scheme and the art style really stand out to me and I appreciate the work put into it!

There's a lot I can appreciate about this feature of the Bitcoin Cyber City. For one, the meme it originated from is hilarious! Second, it emphasizes a key economic flaw that we've seen with fiat throughout history: that printing more of it can lead to disastrous inflation. One unique quality about Bitcoin that many crypto-enthusiasts appreciate is its intent to be a finite supply. While mining can certainly be done at the current time, it won't be available forever. By ensuring that a currency is only available within a limited supply, it sets a precedent upon which the value is preserved if not increased over time. I went a little deep into this one but I hope I conveyed my interpretation clearly!

My significant other is also a crypto-enthusiast and would appreciate this gem in that it puts Math in the place of a higher power. If there was a church that worshipped math, there's no doubt they would regularly attend.
Secret Rooms?
So far I've only managed to find two of them - neither of which are very rewarding. But a little hijinks in a virtual setting is always in good fun and even I can appreciate the subtle trolling.

Granted, I did find a door that hints at a secret room nearby. I've literally spent hours trying to find it - teleporting every nook and cranny of the building. If anyone happens to find the secret room that's hinted at here, feel free to share in the comments below!

But despite the frustrating challenge of trying to find secret rooms, there's still at least one Satoshi Coin faucet that's out in the open that dispenses 1 Satoshi per minute. And it still works last time I checked!

And that concludes my little adventure through the Bitcoin Cyber City! I hope you also take the time to explore this virtual world for yourself and see what fun encounters you may experience! Feel free to share what you think about it in the comments below!
