There's a lot of un-McLaren-esque things to say about the McLaren Solus GT.
First and foremost, it does not use a V8. Under the bonnet - or hood, if you're reading in the US of A - you'll find a 5.2-litre V10.

There's more good news if you think that turbos that are the stuff of the Devil, because the Solus doesn't have one.
Yup, the V10 is naturally aspirated. Beautiful.
The V10 is designed to rev up to 10,000 rpm and it delivers 829 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque.
The car only weighs 1,000 kg (2,205 pounds) and it produces 1,200 kg (2,645 pounds) of downforce.
In plain English, this means it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and it has a top speed of 200 mph.
Only 25 units were built, all pre-sold before the car was even unveiled to the public.
These are McLaren's exact words so I'm gonna translate: it simply means they call 25 of their best (=highest-spending) customers and asked them if they wanted to buy a track-only hypercar, sight unseen.

In addition to that, buyers can get the 'driving experience' package, which includes a custom made driver's seat, custom made FIA-approved racing overalls, helmet and HANS (head-and-neck-support). Probably not for free.
Speaking of money, (unofficial) prices start at around $3.5 million.
