Which is important to you? History of a crypto coin in the market or the current performance of the same coin. For example we all know the history of bitcoin and it has good reputation already, the current performance is pretty good if we compare it with the past. We can trust bitcoin and can buy when it is showing red candle because we are sure that bitcoin will definitely pump.
Not altcoins are like bitcoin because the all time high price records are only become a history when the current performance of few coins are frustrating to many who can't afford holding the coin for long time. Here having big records in history help a coin to have good name in the crypto field but current performance is also a matter that we can't over look.
Recently I was thinking about crypto coins and tokens and this came to my mind that what should be the focus of an investor? History can be repeated and it already make a coin reputed for past good performance. So the coin can convince many investors to trust on it and invest on it. At the same time the current performance also does matter and we live in present time and things change with the time. Some shows progress and some shows regress and I've two names in my mind. Hive and steem and their past record doesn’t match the current performance.
In 2018 where steem price hit $8.19 all time high price record there hive price hit $3.41 all time high price record in 2021. But the current price of hive token is greater than the steem current price but steem has better performance and reputation when it compared to hive but the current performance of hive is 2x better than steem. So which one will you pick when you’ve to choose between these two?
Will you look back to the history or better rely on hive for it's 2x greater price value at this present time? Honestly I would choose both and may split my investment amounts for these two. But still having a good history means holding the trust of traders and investors and steem have these. Hive also have good name but highest price record is not as greater as steem had in 2018. Almost all crypto coin has an impressive record in the past. And it helps gaining the trust of crypto traders or investors.
