Let me present to you my first album (actually, "Enamored" contains 9 songs, but I decided not to make the teaser too long and to present 6 initially). The entire track is 6:19 minutes long, with each song cut into a segment of approximately 1 minute.
Some of you might have heard the first versions of these tracks from me in classic House styles over the past year and a half. Now these are the final versions, in the Ukrainian Deep style.

  • Ukrainian Deep is a new sub-genre of house music, which I am forming and have been experimenting with for the last year and a half (wareHOUSE is its more "heavy" branch, which additionally contains elements of Industrial).

Do you want these 6 songs fully available in open access?

Support my music project (I currently need an equipment upgrade and to renew my subscription for a video generator).
🎶 PrivatBank Envelope: https://www.privat24.ua/send/3cvgp (I'll be happy with any contribution, even $1. The key here is in mass participation: if thousands of people make donations – that will be significant support for the project and will allow me to continue working on the music!).

You can notice that a similar "handwriting" unites all 6 tracks - and this is exactly what I aimed to achieve: a special recognizable style.

What is Ukrainian Deep (or at least the style I aim to create, even if the full realization is a work in progress)

It's a combination of Deep House and Eurodance styles. At a superficial glance, such a mix might point us towards the Euro House style, but when you listen to it and compare, you'll notice that the sounds are very different.

Some features of Ukrainian Deep:

  • Syncopated rhythms;

  • Reliance on the son clave rhythm. You will hear 3/2 or 2/3 rhythms most often in my work when I want to achieve a danceable atmosphere. When I want a harsher sound, like in my track "Rahu," I might break this group of five down as 2/2/1 or 1/2/2. This distinguishes Ukrainian Deep from classic House, which uses the "four-on-the-floor" rhythm (i.e., 4/4). But!... The fundamental percussion still needs to be "house-like": the kicks and hi-hats lead in 4/4, and the clap and snare are placed on the classic second and fourth beats. It's the bass that sets the polymetry (e.g., 3/2), acting as an asymmetrical figure that separates Ukrainian Deep from classic 4/4 House. Furthermore, by using the son clave rhythm, I'm not trying to achieve a Latin sound (I don't like Latin music as such; I just love asymmetrical rhythms and use this as a tool to achieve asymmetry).

  • Ideally, the vocals would be a lyric coloratura soprano (like Aurora) or a lyric soprano.
A voice like the lyric coloratura soprano is incredibly flexible; it retains the warmth of a lyric alto in the mid-range while being able to hit the highest notes in the upper register. This contrast is extremely important for Ukrainian Deep to create a sharp juxtaposition against the deep, soft bass lines. Britney Spears has a similar voice, though many people find it difficult to precisely categorize due to its flexibility: many consider Britney a lyric alto (albeit a very specific one), while I tend to believe it is a lyric soprano.

  • Constant use of ad-libs (vocal improvisations, often in falsetto or with coloratura passages), which adds an element of live, unpredictable soul and reinforces the soul-roots of the style.

  • Specific bass setup for a sine wave with extended decay (sustain), thanks to which the bass starts to sound like something between a bass and a huge shamanic drum. This allows the main beat to be danceable and, at the same time, soft and hypnotic.

Also... I've been asked several times: why do the girls in the music videos constantly have an asymmetrical bob? Well, firstly, I like that hairstyle, I call it the "valkyrie," it's a special vibe for special women. Secondly, it's a reference to the unified style: as I've already said, asymmetrical rhythms constantly dominate my music, so it's perfectly logical to add an asymmetrical hairstyle to them. Perhaps this is a reflection of my view on the world and beauty in general: I am convinced that beauty doesn't necessarily have to be perfectly straight, sometimes (even very often) a certain imperfection can be even more beautiful because it's not bland and has its own unique flavour.

Ukrainian Deep: At the Crossroads of Chicago and New York

To understand the origins of Ukrainian Deep, one must look back at the two main "schools" that birthed House music. My style isn't just a mix; it's an attempt to take the best of both worlds, adding my own asymmetrical vision.

From Chicago to Europe: The Rhythm Foundation

The history of House music began in Chicago.

It was there, on the dance floors of The Warehouse club (which is, in fact, where the name "House" comes from), that Frankie Knuckles and other pioneers laid the foundation for the genre. This was music based on a raw, rigid 4/4 beat (four–on–the–floor) using the Roland TR–909 drum machine. Chicago House was minimalist, very rhythmic, and direct, focused entirely on the energy of the dance.

It was this primal drive of Chicago, amplified by European synthesizers and pop melodies, that became the basis for Eurodance and many of its derivatives. Therefore, when you hear energy and drive in my style, it is the evolutionary legacy of that very Chicago rhythm.

New York: Soul and Depth

Almost simultaneously, its own branch was developing in New York. DJs (like Larry Levan at the Paradise Garage club) began blending the House beat with elements of disco, jazz, R&B, and soul music. They added depth, warmth, melodiousness, and a strong emphasis on vocals.

This school gifted the world Deep House–a more luxurious, harmonically complex, and "soulful" variant, focused on inner experience rather than just the pure rhythm. Hence, when you hear that warmth, soulful vibrato, and a penchant for coloratura vocals in Ukrainian Deep, it is a direct influence and nod to the New York school.

The Synthesis of Ukrainian Deep: A New Asymmetry

Ukrainian Deep consciously takes the best from both parents:

Depth and Emotionality (from New York).

Energy and Drive (from the European derivatives of Chicago House).

But we don't stop there. By adding the asymmetrical 3/2 or 2/3 rhythms to the bass line—rhythms that break the familiar square grid—we move away from classic canons. We create a new, polyrhythmic canvas where a soulful, flexible soprano "dances" in sharp contrast above the unusually stark, yet deep bass. This is the new highlight that makes Ukrainian Deep a unique style that cannot simply be placed into one of the old categories.
