Coinbase announced that users in the U.K., Spain, France, and the Netherlands would now be able to stake Tezos and earn up to 5% per annum reward
San Francisco based cryptocurrency exchange started Tezos staking through its staking platform in July 2019. Tezos is one of the newer crop of cryptocurrencies, having launched in September 2018 after raising $232 million via an ICO.
Its network is based on ‘proof of staking’ protocol, meaning it does not involve the mining work and the huge electricity output involved that other cryptos like Bitcoin are built on. Staking is a process where users hold funds in a cryptocurrency wallet to support a blockchain network’s operation.
Earning Interest on crypto by holding is just like saving account in a bank but is far better because banks merely pay you 1% on your amount while you can earn a lot without any minimum requirement.
