Based on the criteria set out in its “Token Exclusion/Hide Guide,” bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrency exchange OKX will remove 20 cryptocurrency pairs that are listed on its platform. 

According to what the company notes on its website, OKX makes the decision to delist these trading pairs because they “do not meet our inclusion criteria.”  

And although such criteria are not specified in the statement , the exchange clarifies that "decisions to delist or suspend trading with a digital asset may arise due to various circumstances, including factors beyond OKX." 

The delisting of these cryptocurrency pairs will take place in two stages. The first will take place on January 4, 2024 and will include the following cryptoassets: KSM-USDC, FLOW-USDC, JST-USDC, KNC-USDC, ANT-USDC, FSN-USDT, ZKS-USDT, CAPO-USDT, CVP- USDT.

The second phase will be completed on January 5 , removing the following cryptocurrency pairs: XMR-BTC, XMR-ETH, XMR-USDT, -USDC, ZEN-BTC, ZEN-USDT. 

As seen in the list above, the pairs to be removed include privacy cryptocurrencies including monero (XMR) and zcash (ZEC), as well as another well-known altcoin like dash (DASH).  

Following the announcement, almost all crypto assets on the list, with the exception of kusama (KSM), experienced significant price declines in the last 24 hours.The falls are between 2% and almost 10%, with Zcash being one of the most affected. 

OKX recommends its users to cancel all orders related to the above trading pairs before their removal from the list. Otherwise, the system will automatically cancel these orders . Cancellation may take between 1 and 3 days, they note.
