Tron's Justin Sun wants to buy Bitcoin from the German government

Like many other governments, the German government owns a large amount of Bitcoin, which comes, as per usual, from assets seized from criminals.

The problem is most governments don't really want crypto, and if they have a chance to sell it, they will, thus causing a market crash.

Justin Sun, founder of Tron, wrote to his 3.5 million followers on X, said he's willing to negotiate privately with the government to buy BTC.

“I am willing to negotiate with the German government to purchase all BTC off-market in order to minimize the impact on the market," Sun wrote.

The German government owned around 50,000 BTC, worth $2.8 billion at the time of writing, before selling 6,500 BTC on June 19.

Some people believe this might be just the start.
