This is a big issue that Coinbase needs to fix ASAP

In a way, Coinbase fancies itself as a crypto equivalent to PayPal or Revolut, in that it combines financial feature with social media-style qualities.

The thing is, it doesn't always work.

Not that long ago, you could send crypto from Coinbase account to Coinbase account for free, immediately, off-chain.

It was like sending money through PayPal or Revolut.

John Doe would send money to Jane Doe, or vice versa, and the money would be there in seconds.

That's no longer the case.

My second-to-last transaction took about TWO hours to complete. My last transaction is still pending, as I'm writing, and it's been 120+ minutes.

I don't mind NOT having such a feature.

I'm okay with sending crypto via the blockchain.

But, SINCE the feature is available, I want it to work seamlessly. Because if it doesn't, then Coinbase needs to either fix it or get rid of it.

Having a feature that doesn't work is much worse than not having that feature at all.

Imagine going to a pub and they've got your favourite beer on the menu, and then when you ask they're like "oh no sorry we don't carry that anymore."

It's the same thing. Coinbase needs to fix it.

And if they can't, no big deal, I'll still use Coinbase and send crypto on-chain.
