There's a U.S. state that's doing the exact opposite of what everyone else is doing

The governor of a state 50 Cent resided in for a long time is doing the opposite of what the rest of country is doing.

Ned Lamont, governor of Connecticut, has signed a bill into law restricting the use of digital assets in state government.

And that includes establishing a crypto reserve.

Connecticut House Bill 7082 states that the state prohibits the state from "accepting payment in the form of virtual currency" and also "purchasing, holding, investing in or establishing" a crypto reserve.

That's the exact opposite of what several states are doing, considering several U.S. states are either establishing crypto reserves, or thinking about doing it.

In 2025, lawmakers in South Dakota, Montana and Pennsylvania states failed to pass legislation, but I think 'failing to pass legislation' in favour is not the same as actively passing legislation against.

In my view, and this is just my opinion, there are things in life that are inevitable. Broadly speaking, technological progress is inevitable. Like switching from mobile phones to smartphones, or maybe even AI.

They can reject it, ban it, censor it all they want, but sooner or later crypto will have to be taken seriously by every country.

So, in my view, Connecticut is building a seven-foot dam for a wave that's already 6-foot tall and will be 60-foot tall by the end of the decade.
