Following a record-breaking $6.3 billion cyberattack on Binance, Elon Musk did what he does best: trolling.
The online feud began when the SpaceX and Tesla billionaire publicly mocked the exchange's massive security breach.
Posting laughing emojis alongside the phrase 'Everyday is Zeroday,' Musk openly dismissed the severity of the exploit.CZ fired back in kind, and in style.
"Elon, have a lot of respect for you, but bad time to troll," Zhao wrote on X.
The Binance founder did not stop at calling out the ill-timed joke, but he also immediately brought significant financial leverage into the discussion.
Zhao explicitly reminded Musk of the deep financial ties connecting their corporate empires.
Binance holds a major $1 billion stake in SpaceX, an equity position that originated from Binance's initial $500 million investment to back Musk’s high-profile acquisition of Twitter (now X).
By bringing up this sizable holding, Zhao signaled that publicly undermining a key financial partner might carry repercussions.
CZ then asked Musk to show "a little support".Considering Musk's net worth, he's unlikely to withdraw from trolling.
But CZ's answer was still pretty neat.
