Tactics and strategy are often thrown in the same mix. They're used as synonyms but they aren't.

One of the few examples I can think of where that doesn't happen is the game of chess.

In chess, most people use the word 'strategy' and they use it correctly. Your strategy is to get the other guy into a checkmate and in order to do that you start thinking ahead. That's where strategy becomes tactic.

If you choose to start by knocking out the other guy's Queen, that's tactics.

Strategy is the ultimate goal which, often, is not actually established by you, it's forced on you by the circumstances.

When applied to crypto, I think that using crypto is the right tactic to survive against financial disruption, and that's the strategy.

The traditional monetary system we have in place is way too centralised. And it's sort of vertically integrated. It starts with the US' world dominance, which results into the dominance of the dollar, which is used as a peg for all the world's currencies.

From a purely economic standpoint, the FED is at the top, our local bank is at the very bottom, and we're right below the bottom.

It's a system that, whether by design or not, inevitably leads to you and I being squashed.

Crypto is our strategy because, by design, it is very difficult to control and corrupt.

Not sure it's gonna work, but it's definitely our best bet yet.

So if that's our collective strategy, our individial tactics may change. I, for example, basically only want Bitcoin as a reserve of value, and a heavily decentralised, possibly PoW, crypto for transactions.

But that's just me.
