NOTE: I will keep this updates as I find more information. Last time I covered IN and OH.
I am on a journey to ensure that every candidate in the 2022 congressional midterm election is well aware of Bitcoin. My desire is to connect with each one of them and hopefully speak with them directly.
In addition, my goal is to ensure you are aware of where they stand on Bitcoin and other interesting facts leading into the primary runoffs and general election. This article will provide a high-level look at the primary and the plan is to cover every primary going forward including the general mid-term election.
Primary Results
Alabama has 7 House races and 5 Senate candidates running for retiring Sen Richard Shelby's Senate seat; Will Boyd (D), Richard Bowers (I), Jarmal Jabbar Sanders (I), and Katie Britt (R)/Mo Brooks (R) who are in a runoff on June 21, 2022.
Arkansas has 4 House races and 2 Senate candidates running: incumbent John Boozman (R) against Natalie James (D) and Kenneth Cates (L.)
Georgia has 14 House races and 2 Senate candidates running: incumbent Raphael Warnock (D) against Herschel Walker (R), George Litchfield (Conservative Party), and Chase Oliver (L). Primary runoff is scheduled for June 21, 2022.
Minnesota's House 1st District will have a special general election with 4 candidates: Jeff Ettinger (D), Brad Finstad (R), Haroun McClellan (Grassroots-Legalize Cannabis Party,) and Richard Residorf (Legal Marijuana Now Party.)
Bitcoin HODLers
Based on the currently available financial disclosures it appear that only Casey Wardynski (R-AL-5) HODL Bitcoin; Barry Moore(R-AL-2) appears to have some exposure to Altcoins.
While I can't find anything in the financial disclosures about the rest, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) is the sponsor of S. 4147 the Financial Freedom Act. French Hill (R-AR-2) is the sponsor of H.R. 3506 the 21st Century Dollar Act, the CoSponsor of H.R. 2211 the Central Bank Digital Currency Study Act of 2021, and CoSponsor of H.R. 6006 the Keep Innovation In America Act. Rick Crawford (R-AR-1) is the CoSponsor of H.R. 7391 (House Companion to S. 3666) the Accountability for Cryptocurrency in El Salvador (ACES) Act. None of the candidates running for House District 1 in MN are active with any legislation. Thanks to CapHillCrypto for tracking the legislation.
In Alabama three House candidates do not have twitter accounts and two Senate Independant candidates do not have one. The most followed candidate is incumbent Terri Sewell (D), followed by incumbent Mike Rogers (R).
In Arkansas, 3 House candidates do not have twitter accounts and all Senate candidates have one; one House candidate twitter account is locked. The most followed candidate is incumbent Rick Crawford (R), followed by Steve Womack (R).
In Georgia, 7 House candidates do not have twitter accounts and both Senate candidates have one. The most followed candidate is Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R), followed by Marcus Flowers (D).

Conclusion
So my quest begins to see what the other candidates think about Bitcoin. Join me in reaching out to them and discussing Bitcoin with them. Let's see if we can get them on Twitter spaces, podcast, YouTube videos to start a conversation about the power Bitcoin can have on their constituents financial future. Lastly, listen to The Breakdown hosted by NLW as he talks about why Bitcoin isn't Apolitical, but it is Nonpartisan.
