Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto has not been heard from since April 23, 2011. Although his true identity has not yet been proven, many written communications from him remain, mainly emails. One is addressed to former Bitcoin developer Mike Hearn. You can read:

I've moved on to other things. It's in good hands with Gavin and everyone.

At the time, Bitcoin was worth about $1.50.

According to well-informed people, Satoshi Nakamoto could be dead. The two main people who could be him are actually deceased: Hal Finney and Dave Kleiman. Finney was an American software developer and died in 2014 as a result of complications of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).

Hal Finney

Kleiman was an American computer forensics expert and died in 2013.

Dave Kleiman

His brother Ira initiated a lawsuit against Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright for the return of a sum of Bitcoins ranging from 550,000 to 1,100,000 Bitcoins. In 2021, the court ordered Craig Wright to pay Kleiman's family $100 million in damages, very small compared to the $25 billion sought. Gavin Andresen joined the BTC development team in 2010.

Gavin Andresen

Andresen is an American software developer and is the one to whom Satoshi Nakamoto left the role of lead developer of Bitcoin following the exit from the project announced in the spring of 2011. In 2016 Andresen had declared that Satoshi Nakamoto would be Craigh Wright, but then he retracted. We don't care who Satoshi Nakamoto is. Bitcoin is an unleashing force that can change the world for the better and wipe out the rot of fiat currencies.
