What a day in which I went all in and doubled down on my dreams to make it big on the Hive blockchain and I've staked more than 15,000 Hive tokens into Hive Power. This represents a shift in strategy as I think that Hive is still undervalued considering all that's happening in this ecosystem and because the crypto market is yet to be more bullish. The fight against inflation might soon reach a turning point and with that I hope to see a better sentiment on the financial and crypto markets, which should breath some fresh life into them. So now I thought it was the right time to make a move and see how it plays out.
Up until now most of my Hive Power was grown from content creation, curation and engagement on the Hive platform and it stands at 15,078.261 Hive Power. Besides this I was putting aside HBD and using the 20% APR from the Savings to ensure a steady revenue stream. But considering that Hive is trading well below $1 (actually around $0.405) and the fact that from curation and passive appreciation you can get to a 10% APR, I considering that is worth to make this exchange considering the potential for HIVE price to increase in the next period. Thus, I have exchanged all my HBD summing $6,400 into 15,789 HIVE at a market price of $0.405. Next, I powered it all and ended up with 30,906.068 Hive Power.
I appreciated Hive blockchain from the first days I've discovered it and I've witnesses its potential during bull markets to outperform more know assets from the crypto world. Probably I could have done this move earlier when Hive was hammering around $0.30, but I feel that making the move now it is not too late. With this there is also a greater responsibility as I need to keep up my engagement levels in order to reach around 10% APR from curation which coupled with price appreciation should get me better levels than the 20% APR from Savings.
My strategy moving forward is to convert any HBD that I get my hands on into Hive and after that power it all up. I will be doing this probably for a long time while I'll be waiting for the market tides to turn around and to see a better sentiment in this space, which should be translated at some point also in the price. But while that happens in the background, I will simply continue to create content, curate and engage as high levels to grow my account even more. Because in the end, this is the way!
PS: I wished I did this staking on the Hive Power Up Dat #HPUD on 1st of April, but as my HBD withdrawal got processed only afterwards I had to wait a bit. Nevertheless, better late than never!
