Why are we still using EMAIL?!

By theinspired | Game of Life | 23 May 2019

I was having a conversation with a friend. He DM'd me on Twitter to ask if I had received his email and was concerned that it might have went to spam since I had not yet responded. I let him know othat I was still gathering some information before responding back.

His response was this: "...no worries and thx for letting us know. We have sent things in the past and I would say 4 out of 10 times for some reason we end up in a spam box. So these days, we always try to follow up."

I told him I completely understand because I too have to fight with email about things ending up in spam, primarily my daily news brief "Crypto Watch" and I explained to him that I use double Opt-In on Campaign Monitor for that reason; to ensure emails end up in the inbox.

But....why do we still use this complicated system when there is a better way? Enter Messaging Platforms.

I've become a fan of using messaging over email. Why? It's faster. Lightning Faster. You always get a response and it's easier than email. There is no To line, subject, formality, blah blah blah. It's simple, quick, raw, to the point. In addition, I love using WIRE.COM - my conversations are private.

With Wire I can quickly message, send a drawing, send an attachment, send a voice message (even mask my voice), and setup group chats. The power of platforms like this far exceed emails capabilities and you don't have to worry about all the STMP bullshit you do with email.

So I ask YOU - why are we still using email?!

Game of Life

A newsletter designed to encourage and inspire you to play the game of life the best you can. While some don't believe that life is a game and I'd agree, it's multiple games on several levels; it's not just one game. There is a game of health, wealth, relationships, career/education, faith, and rest/relaxation. It's not a game from the perspective someone wins or loses but in theory and dynamic.
