I wanted to express my sadness in the form of a post. I would like to highlight some of the coins that turned red in 2022. Even though I had so much hope for these coins, they started becoming red. Maybe I was not fully involved in this or maybe I did not pay enough attention to what was happening to these coins. But sadly they are not doing well in my portfolio.

1. CUB

I bought them when the price was around 4$ per CUB token. That was the time when DeFi on binance smart chain was very popular. I guess that's also my mistake to have believed that CUB would go to the moon just like that. We are able to see many projects with so many use cases going low in value. CUB has no big use case than being a DeFi coin. The price of CUB right now is very bad and I have no idea how they are going to recover the price of the coin.

2. LEO

LEO is the next biggest disappointment for me. I was very happy about LEO when it all started. There are still people who reaped a lot of profit from LEO during the good times. Maybe the team should have focussed just on LEO and maintaining the price of LEO instead of focusing on so many other coins they introduced one after the other. But yeah I stopped accumulating more coins after reaching 10k LEO. I'm still hoping someday the price would turn out well but yeah let's see.

3. XRP

XRP was my first investment in altcoins after BTC. I bought XRP when the price of each coin was around 2$. I guess that was the peak time and the price has not reached my bought price again. I have been holding my XRP tight and still have hopes that someday it would turn out better. After all, XRP is being actively used by banks for transactions. The Ripple case also turned out well so hopefully, the price should recover back after the bear market ends.

4. ADA

I have absolutely no idea about ADA and there are many people saying ADA is good and good to hold for the long term. I don't believe them either. All I want to see is a way to recover my investment value from this. Maybe if I do a DCA right now when the market is red, I should be able to recover something back when the bull market is back. Let's see how it goes.

5. DOT

I bought some DOT when the price was around 5$ and 9$ initially. Then later I was very happy about the fact that the price of DOT was fluctuating from 40$ to 60$ multiple times when the Para chain was introduced. That was the peak bull market and everything was doing good back then. I was also very happy to try out some swing trades. I was also very successful with buying some DOT at 45$ and selling it at 55$. Though I did not do big quantities, I was impressed by this trade and wanted to experiment again. I bought DOT again for 40 dollars and from then on the price is going down because of a bear market. I'm now wondering if I should be doing some DCA on this or just waiting for the price to recover and book my profits.

Hopefully, all these coins should do me a favor in 2023 when the price starts recovering again. Let's see how it goes.
