There are perceptions that the gaming season in the crypto world is over. I wouldn't agree with that. I wanted to write this article to showcase how fast the developments are happening and what we are about to see in the crypto world. Especially on Hive, we are going to have so many games. There are quite a few games under development and I'm happy to be involved in some of those games and projects.
I recently joined WOO team as a staff member. Some people might already know that I'm the co-founder of the game Muterra. In addition to that, I'm also involved in developing a few more games on Hive and Hive Engine. I don't want to disclose the names yet as the project is still in its early stages. I'm really excited about Muterra and WOO and I think these two would be the best investment in terms of time and money in 2023 for the investors. I'm sure there are going to be a few more games emerging in 2023 making Hive one of the best platforms for gaming.
Gaming season is just starting
I personally think that the gaming season is just starting in the crypto world. The main reason is not just Hive but we now have facilities to create games and NFTs on several blockchains. There are so many developers working on new games every day and also releasing them. WAX is one blockchain that provides this NFT facility and also very popular when it comes to gaming.
We all might think that the existing games have slowed down. I agree that they are a bit low profile right now but I'm sure they would emerge back when the bull market is back. They are in silent development mode. They might introduce some interesting things soon after the price of Hive starts picking up. One good example is splinterlands. From their recent announcement, I think that they are struggling to bring more value to their tokens.
At the end of 2023, there will be a lot more games both on Hive as well as other blockchains. From what I noticed, there are some games in the real world exploring the crypto world. They are already selling their game assets to the players. Right now some of those games are thinking of options to sell their game assets to the players in the form of NFTs and this will also enable people to do trading with each other. This will definitely create a massive market around the game where people can earn from just trading NFTs and earning NFTs from the game. This is one of the concepts we have in the Muterra game too. People can either invest to earn from the game or keep playing the game, earn from the game and grow slowly and gradually.
Many game developers and gaming companies would start entering the crypto industry and start knowing how they can create an NFT market around their game and start earning. They might create opportunities for both themselves as well as for their investors.
