The last few days had been really hectic for me. I couldn't spend time on my other regular activities. As many people are aware that I'm involved in multiple gaming projects on Hive. I recently joined WOO team as a staff member and have been contributing to the project. Most of my contributions are in the form of development work. There were many things to complete before we go live with WOO land sale. There are two major things that we are currently working on. One is the facility to add WOO Bucks with Paypal and another is the land sale itself.
One of the biggest challenges we had was to take a look at already available code and add new functionality on top of that. That was the hard part. Coding the new functionality took only a few minutes but understanding the existing code and doing a top-up on that was the hardest part. There were also instances where the new code we add would break existing functionality. Additionally, there were a few developers working on the same repository and when we push the code to a branch, there were merge conflicts and that was also one area where it was time-consuming.

I think enough for me to talk about my boring dev story and probably it would be better to talk about the actual WOO land sale itself. Unfortunately, I'm also very new to this project and slowly trying to grasp everything here. I did not get a chance to follow their updates but now I'm glad that slowly I'm trying to stay up to date. It is good to work on these projects. I personally think that there is a lot of learning here and at the same time I'm glad that I'm able to contribute my knowledge inside the Hive ecosystem.
My other projects are also keeping me busy and in the meantime, I have to maintain my Hive Engine witnesses and the Hive witnesses I manage. Thankfully in the last few days, none of my other projects gave me any headaches or something. That really helped me stay focused. One hard thing was that I wasn't able to do anything during my weekend except for sitting in front of my laptop. We are pretty much done now and testing is the only thing that is pending. There can be a few more changes required after testing but mostly it should be good. I still have a lot more learning to be done in terms of this project. The good thing about WOO is that there are so many real-world associations and charities being done by the project. Let's hope this project brings more fortune to the Hive ecosystem.
