Most people are attracted to Hive and join the ecosystem to earn some rewards for them based on their contributions to this platform. Initially, Hive started out as a blogging platform. But today we have so many other opportunities available on Hive where we don't have to restrict our contributions to just blogging alone. There is a strong reward pool that operates to reward the users with votes when they blog. This is the fundamental of this blockchain.

There is already a lot of Hive in supply. Mostly what people have earned from this platform from blogging. I think the price of Hive is also not improving because we have too much supply but very less demand. There are other projects that emerge on Hvie focusing on using the existing Hive in circulation than the Hive that comes out of the reward pool. Some of those projects make this place a platform to build applications on top of Hive than keeping the blockchain only for blogging.

Games on Hive

Games are becoming one of the biggest things in the blockchain space. Not just Hive but people have started building games on multiple other blockchains too. Hive has a great facility to broadcast custom jsons to the chain and with this custom json, people are able to build amazing things on this blockchain. This concept was initially introduced by Splinterlands which was one of the first few games on Hive.

After Splinterlands became a great hit, many people came up with games on Hive. Some were successful and some faded away. Today we have so many games on Hive and people are ready to invest a lot of money in all these games and have a fun-filled experience on Hive. As blockchain is a new space, game development is also pretty slow. The developer's experience with game development, as well as blockchain development, is very limited. Frontend development is another biggest challenge people usually face.

Development on Hive

Development is another opportunity on Hive. People who can code always have something or the other on Hive. There are many project owners on Hive who would like to hire some developers to bring their idea to reality. There is even a huge demand for game developers too on Hive. People who can work on Unity are welcome here because many investors on Hive have some game idea that they want to bring to reality and developers are the backbone of any project that happens on Hive.

Not just game development but there are also other projects available on Hive that does many good things. Some projects are curation projects and some projects are NFT or DEFI projects. Oh yeah, how can I forget about Hive Engine which was one of the biggest reasons why Hive was taken to the next level? Many investors look forward to investing in Hive Engine-based games and projects and they use the facility available on Hive Engine to build their work on Hive.

DEFI investment in Hive

Nobody would believe it if I said that we have a DEFI already on Hive. Yes the HBD investment is what we call DEFI. As it is on the chain, the 20% APR we get on Hive is also considered DEFI. The risk factors are very low compared to other centralized investments because HBD is on chain savings and the interest we get from investment is also very attractive. Apart from blogging someone can invest a huge amount of money into Hive or HBD and get a passive income. HBD gives interest and Hive power gives curation rewards for voting.
