Splinterlands : Optimize your deck because it will still earn double in ranked battle in future.
Till now your deck earn twice whether you play in ranked battle or not , If you play it in ranked battle it earn rewards in form of the DEC and loot chest and your collection also eligible to get the SPS airdrop. If you are not playing the game then still your accounts get SPS claim drop and as well you can rent your deck for passive income.
So when SPS airdrop will end so you think that your deck can only earn DEC and chest loot in ranked battle.
Actually if you see the SPS airdrop plan , it is also planned that SPS is also the part of the Play2Earn rewards also.
Till now, these rewards are not yet started but anyways they are Play2earn rewards and will be released sooner or later.
My best guess is team do not want to release them in parallel with current airdrop going on but I am sure if they are not getting released soon then they will be definitely released when Node License become operational.
If you read the townhall post then you will see that team always like to give value to the assets and more value to players as Play2Earn rewards. I am hopeful that NFT Arcade partnership also bring more value to collection and Play2earn rewards.
I feel current bear market is time when you keep strengthening your deck.
