My favorite portfolio for long term holdings

My favorite portfolio for long term holdings

I know I know.. the web is full of portfolios, we do not need more. The reason I created mine in an excel file, is to keep track of my long term holdings and keep everything updated manually, I'm more of a Do It Yourself person. I'm sharing the below portfolio to inspire others to start working on their long-term portfolios or create their own.

The portfolio is still at the very early stages but is very easy to use and understand. All calculations are automated after you insert the required information.

At the main sheet. the “Profits and Losses”, shows exactly how well your investments are doing in total and separately as well.

To get the above information I am using 3 other sheets, “Crypto Prices”, “Purchases”, and “Staked & fees”. I prefer to use different sheets for a cleaner workspace. This way, it is also much easier to spot your mistakes.

In the “Purchases” sheet I input the date, the price I bought that asset, and the quantity I received. The “fiat invested” cell is calculated automatically.

In the “Staked & Fees” sheet I input all the rewards from my stakes, delegation, the transfer fees, airdrops, corrections, e.t.c.

In the first column, I specify the reason (fee, airdrop, free rewards, etc) or the date.

In the second column, the quantity received or spend. The third tab is calculated automatically.

And finally, in the “Crypto Price” sheet I only input the prices of each cryptocurrency.

After I input everything the final outcome is shown in the “Profit and Losses” sheet automatically.

I still have many additions I would love to include in this excel file to make everything easier and more automated, I hope the above post helps you to create your own portfolio and keep track of all of your holdings.

If you need help creating your own or if you prefer to use mine as a template please don't hesitate to contact me, I'll be pleased to assist!!

Please note: the above does not show my actual investments, holdings, or dates of purchase.
