The reason for misunderstanding others is that we tend to assume other people’s minds work as ours do. Remember, other people’s minds will not necessarily be reasoning as our mind and so we misunderstand another’s actions and motives. Also, it may be that we think we have got the whole picture – that we are right and that the others are all wrong – when in fact it is rather that we might all be looking at different ‘bits’ of the same picture and if we joined all these ‘bits’ together the whole picture would emerge before our eyes. This is just like the story about six blind men describing an elephant whose understanding of elephant was the 'Bit' they touched not seeing the whole animal.
Have a successful week ahead. God bless us.
