One of the most popular crypto card issuers announced a new promotion for their US customers. With bonus Crypto.com Visa Card rewards powered by Dosh, US users will earn an additional 10% cashback when shopping at one of over 10,000 merchants.

Participating brands include names like Adidas, Costco, H&M, Office Depot, Sam's Club or Shake Shack.

The new bonus will be awarded on top of the existing Crypto.com Visa Card cashback (the rate of which depends on the tier of your card as previously).

Today's announcement is definitely a step in the right direction to appease the customers that felt cheated after recent earn rates slash. While the new bonus rewards are currently only available for customers from the United States, I am certain that the offer will eventually be available for everyone.

It seems that Crypto.com decided to focus on growing the Cronos ecosystem and CRO by giving out more of it through these bonus rewards rather than keeping the previous earn rates. In my opinion this means that they are putting the burden on CRO to carry the company since there is clearly an influx of new customers that forced CDC to cut the earn rates. Since that announcement, I've seen many discussions about how profitable it is going to be to apply for the higher card tiers, but seeing today's move gives me hope. With these bonus rewards and the bigger cashback from higher card tiers, active users will be able to accumulate much more CRO than before. Assuming that the price is eventually going to rise, this might make a sizable group of people quite a nice amount of money.
