Ze względu na specyficzne warunki pogodowe, a mianowicie bardzo wczesną i ciepłą wiosnę, ten gatunek grzyba spotkałem już na początku kwietnia. Mowa tu o majówce wiosennej, która zazwyczaj pojawia się w połowie maja.
