Listopadowy poniedziałek, gorzej być nie mogło

The weather has been terrible since morning. Rain, humidity around 95%, and a piercing cold. It's okay for a walk, but not so much for sitting on a bench. These are the kinds of days you quickly want to forget.

Od samego rana koszmarna pogoda. Deszcz wilgotność w okolicach 95% i przeszywający chłód. Na spacer może być, ale żeby sobie gdzieś na ławce przycupnąć to już nie za bardzo. To są takie dni, o których szybko chce się zapomnieć.

It's good that we still have a rose garden, where many flowers and roses have retained their color. This provides some comfort before the coming winter.

Dobrze, że mamy jeszcze rosarium, w którym wiele kwiatów, róż zachowało swoje kolory. To dodaje trochę otuchy przed nadchodzącą zimą.

The birds, of course, appeared in droves. A few crows, chickadees, and a whole host of sparrows. I don't know where they came from; there have never been such numbers before. As soon as I stop for a moment on the bench, they're already taking up their starting positions on the branch. It looks comical.

Ptaki oczywiście pojawiły się gromadnie. Kilka wron, sikorek i całe stano wróbli. Nie wiem skąd one się tam wzięły, nigdy nie było aż takiej ilości. Gdy tylko zatrzymam się na chwilę na ławce, już zajmują pozycje startowe na gałęzi. Wygląda to komicznie.
