Hello everyone, I'm Byron from Canada and I once worked as a cook and baked real pizza for real people. Now I draw zombies and mint the artwork as digital collectibles on the WAX blockchain. Some of you might call them NFTs but we don't want to anymore.
That's a discussion for a different post.
Today's discussion is about pizza. Specifically, Zombie Pizza. The undead delight that probably tastes worse than it looks.
I originally drew these undead slices of deliciousness about a year ago with the intent of packing them up and selling them as digital art on the wax blockchain. I almost did a few times but couldn't quite pull the trigger on the launch. So they sat in my sketchbook, unused and unseen for months and months.
Now it's time to let them go into the WAX metaverse and infect the accounts of as many users as possible. What's different now? Well now I'm starting to schedule stuff and I'm trying to preplan things. I did that pretty good with the Zombie Cat's and the new pack which sold out all 100 packs in 1 day. I even put the date of the pack opening in a calendar on more than just my own website.
Taking steps to up my game a bit. Baby steps, but at least they go in a forward direction :)
Back to the pizza!
The original idea behind it all was just simply 8 slices of pizza and a couple of crafts into something bigger and more rare. But the idea was shelved as other things were going on and as I said, the timing didn't feel right.
But now it's time and the box that will hold this unholy slice of undead is being created and the drop is slowly being announced and as I continue to work on it, more ideas form on how to make it really cool for everyone.
I have at least 3 different chase cards that can be crafted and ideas for even more, and to give a little bit of extra value to the people that spend their hard earned money for some crusty cheese and old pepperoni, I have a buy 2 get 1 free deal in mind.
The cool thing is that the WAX blockchain lets me build all this easily and without much expense at all. Seriously. To build this on the WAX blockchain and launch it for sale will probably cost me 25 cents. The biggest expense is the time it takes to create the artwork and get it digitized, then build the contract stuff on NFTHive and NeftyBlocks. I do still use Atomichub for building my templates, but not as often as I used to.
So the pizza box is being built, the slices are getting templated and the Horde is about to get into the fast undead food business.
8 Slices to collect
3 Chase cards to craft into
Buy 2 get one free
The funny thing (to me) is that the more I keep building the more ideas I have and the more distracted I get from other things. It makes it seem like there is no direction, but forward is a direction. Does everything tie into everything else? No. Probably never will for everything, but it's still fun. It's still something I made to help support my family and entertain those that like to see what I do. But who knows what the next day brings? Tomorrow my work could be seen by someone that messages me and sparks a new creative direction that I explore for a while.
The other funny thing is that I lose focus while writing and sometimes I get called away and when I come back I forget what I wanted to say and the whole article just peters out and flops.
I know this happens, I just hope no one notices ;)
Anyways - that's more topics for different posts.
