Hello friends of Hive and the Holozing community, I hope you are having a lovely day. We continue with a new day and a new challenge from Zingtober. Following the Inktober calendar, today's challenge had the theme "RHINOCEROS", so I got to work. I hope you like the result.

Hola amigos de Hive y comunidad de Holozing, espero que estén teniendo un lindo día. Continuamos con un nuevo día y un nuevo reto del Zingtober. Siguiendo el calendario de Inktober, el reto correspondiente al día de hoy tenía como tema "RHINOCEROS", así que me puse manos a la obra. Espero que les guste el resultado.

Drawing a rhinoceros was quite difficult; I'm not very used to drawing animals, but this Inktober has given me the opportunity for continuous practice. For this reason, after several attempts and failed sketches, I decided to redo everything and take a simpler and kawaii style, although I save the sketches to continue them after a while.

Dibujar un rinoceronte fue algo bien difícil; no estoy muy acostumbrado al dibujo de animales, pero este Inktober me ha dado la oportunidad de practicar continuamente. Por esta razón, después de varios intentos y bocetos fallidos, decidí rehacer todo y tomar un estilo más simple y kawaii, aunque guardo los bocetos para continuarlos después de un tiempo.

On this occasion, my sketch started using a layer with a handmade paper effect. The main idea of the drawing was our protagonist Zingu, who in his adventure discovered a rhinoceros for the first time and fell in love with such a strange creature, so to start the friendship he decided to give him an apple. The little rhinoceros also looks at him joyfully and amazed.

En esta ocasión, mi boceto partió utilizando una capa con efecto de papel artesanal. La idea principal del dibujo fue nuestro protagonista Zingu, que en su aventura descubrió por primera vez un rinoceronte y se enamoró de tan extraña criatura, así que para comenzar la amistad decidió regalarle una manzana. El pequeño rinoceronte también lo mira alegre y asombrado.

After the sketch, I made the lineart in black with one of my favorite brushes, added a bit of base color, shadows with textures, some highlights and sparkles. Since the composition looked a bit empty, I decided to add some extra texture with paint stains to give it a more fun touch.

Después del boceto, realicé el lineart en negro con uno de mis pinceles favoritos, agregué un poco de color base, sombras con texturas, algunas luces y destellos. Como la composición se veía algo vacía, decidí añadirle un poco de textura extra con manchas de pintura para darle un toque más divertido.
