I want to talk about the street dog that lives in our street. We call him Tommy. He is not a fancy breed dog, just a normal brown and black street dog. But he is more loyal than many expensive dogs I have seen.
Every morning when I go out, he is sitting at the corner of the street. He knows everyone in our area. If any stranger comes at night, he will bark and wake up the whole street. He never bites without reason. He is actually very friendly with kids. Sometimes the kids give him leftover bread and he wags his tail like he got a prize.
In winter, life for a street dog is very hard. No shelter, no warm blanket. Still, Tommy never leaves our street. Last year it rained heavily, he was sitting under a small shop shade, shivering. I brought him some old cloth and he slept on it. That day I understood, dogs don't need a lot of money, they just need a little kindness.
People think street dogs are dirty or dangerous, but I think they are the most honest guards. They work 24 hours without any salary. They just need some food and respect. If you have a street dog in your area, please don't hit him. Give him some water. He will remember your kindness forever. Tommy taught me that loyalty doesn't have a price tag.
