Time flies fast when you have so much fun or too busy with work. Another month has gone. It is the time to summarize what I have done in the crypto world. I wanted to analysis my earnings yesterday. However, I am afraid that I would fool myself on the April Fool’s day. Therefore, I skipped it until today.

Let me take a look at the tasks I have given myself last month. Learning more about NFT and searching for a good place to mint my drawing without dealing with ETH. Check. I have created my first ever NFT on Unique.One, a NFT site sits on xDai. Of course, there are more places like WAX, which is more popular than Unique.One. I don’t like the part that you need to keep on getting more RAM.

Passive Income

My passive income comes from lending site, such as BlockFi, and PancakeSwap, CubFiance and NutBox.

Speaking of BlockFi, I saw a tweet today that stated the method to earn Bitcoin with 8.6% interest rate. We all know the APY again Bitcoin is 6% on BlockFi. How did they make it 8.6%? USDC has 8.6% APY. According to the tweet, keep stable coin in the portfolio and choose all interest to be paid in the currency of your choice to Bitcoin. Viola, 8.6% of Bitcoin. What didn’t I think of that? I will try that next month.

PancakeSwap and CubFinance are all dApps on BSC. Both requires some form of exchange and liquidity pool. CubFinance was created by Leo Finance from the HIVE blockchain. Because of the popularity and trust of LEO, I saw a lot of funding flow into CubFinance at the first day. 

Nutbox (https://nutbox.io/) is a dApp on STEEM, the brother HIVE had and hated between in each other. Could we just get along? Anyway, what I really like about Nutbox is the way we can stake. We don’t need to transfer fund, convert it or combine into some forms of liquidity pool. We can just delegate our STEEM Power. Of course, the platform definitely has a fair share of LPs, such as PNUT-TRX LP and TSP-TRX LP (NPUT is the native token of Nutbox environment). But I like the convenience of delegating STEEM Power directly. It is on the STEEM blockchain, I would never have a potential issue of losing it. Not to mention Nutbox also provide upvote since it is a delegation. Staking SP has a 80.3% APY at this moment. It is almost as high as CAKE-BNB LP at PancakeSwap. Of course, PNUT does not have the same price comparing with CAKE. Therefore, the investment may not be the same when compare Nutbox and PancakeSwap.

The price of STEEM is more than $1.00 now. I am sure many people have powered down and waiting on cashing out. A new staking protocol has been created in the Nutbox testing site (http://test.nutbox.io/#/stake). Hopefully, this will be on live version soon, so that we can convert/stake STEEM instead of STEEM Power. It will give us more flexibility in term of skipping the horrible month-long power down process.

TRON Smart Contract became my No. 1 bottleneck when dealing with this dApp. My plan was always to earn cryptocurrencies instead of spending fiat money. Therefore, I do not have much of TRX to obtain energy (similar situation with WAX’s RAM). I have 39K right now, and it burns all my energy while I trigged smart contracts.

Matters.news, HIVE/STEEM are my main platforms to write posts. I have to admit that I have not posted many articles in the month of March due to work. However, I have attended several community-based activities to cover up the earnings.

I don’t know why I do not get refills at noise.cash anymore. I do not post junks and I do not abuse free tips. Who knows what’s going on there…

Overall

I have had decent earnings in March. It was about $1k from all platforms. Not bad for the third month of playing around inside the crypto world.

April

Like I mentioned at the beginning, I will test 8.6% APY on BlockFi; I also wanted to figure out my issue with noise.cash. However, I probably will switch to Project Blank if LeoFinance would release it.

I haven’t paid much attention to Torum lately. I had introduced Torum to my friends on other blockchains, and many of them have set their root there. Developers of Torum have built the exchange platform and working on DeFi and BFT portion of the project. It is time to visit back and meet my old friends.
