Bitcoin was created somewhere in japan in 2008 by "Satoshi Nakamoto" Maybe a single person most likely a group of people this coin was born with big ambitions gives the people an easy way to transfer value at a low cost without being manipulated by a government, a central bank or any centralized third parties  in 2009 bitcoin start with the blockchain giving the birth of cryptocurrencies because blockchain was a thing since 1991 when a scientific Stuart Haber described the idea where they used Merkle trees until 1992 where they become more efficient but in 2004 the patent expired so bitcoin is not the birth of blockchain, anyway way bitcoin has been the king even there have been some trying to tale the crown but bitcoin has remained as the one still standing

Bitcoin has has some crashes through the years in 2011 I Bitcoin hit the big time $2 to more than $32 achieving parity with an ounce of silver Mt. Gox the largest Bitcoin exchange in the world by far was hacked hundreds of accounts and stole millions of dollars worth the value of a Bitcoin fell to one penny a 99% crash that almost killed the whole cryptocurrencies market In 2013 Bitcoin investors piled on to the exciting new opportunity that was buzzing in the mainstream media. Trading was so intense that the principal exchange at that time couldn’t handle the volume, and when it crashed, hackers attacked the vulnerability. they stopped this with a complete shut down of systems sending prices from nearly $260 to $50 an 86% crash in 2021 after Elon Musk walked back Tesla's commitment to accept bitcoin as payment, citing concerns over the cryptocurrency's massive carbon footprint bitcoin fell an 12% it was a missive hit I had just reached $64,000 then it happened the big one Chinese government send a message on crypto use in the country The central bank issued a warning to Chinese financial institutions and businesses not to accept digital currencies as payment or offer services using them the threat of increased regulation triggered a panic, and bitcoin plunged before rebounding slightly and leveling off
