1 BTC Project - ETH Miner.

I was toying around with another play and earn game to grind out a few points on some app; I would guess I was farming COIN. An add popped up and me being high on the success of Bitcoin Miner, Diet Coke, and sheer hubris thought why not chase? So even though my success rate for these 'mining' apps is abysmal, I clicked and downloaded ETH Miner.

Here is the ad. There was no video, just an install button that called to me.

Adding a third coin wasn't really my intention - the focus still being on the mac daddy Bitcoin. I still have a long way to go to compile a whole coin. I do carry a small amount of ETH from my publish0x earnings. I have to wait until critical mass because the gas fees can decay a position quickly. Maybe ETH Miner could help with this.

Much list every other 'Miner' apps you open the app once per day, click a button, watch an ad, and earn for the day. This is where the warts start to show. Earning 0.00000001 ETH per second seems like not a lot, but the per second earning is enticing. Now time for some quick maths:

0.00000001 ETH / sec = 0.000037 CAD / sec

0.0000006 ETH / min = 0.0022 CAD / min

0.000036 ETH / hour = 0.13 CAD / hour

0.000864 ETH / day = 3.19 CAD / day

Red flags are looking pretty red. There is no reality where an app that make you watch 1 ad per day will pay out $3.19 on the free version. Its just not happening. Or if it is, it is not happening for long - or you are getting your wallet compromised immediately.

Red flags intensify. With minimum withdrawal on the free plan is 2.5 ETH or at the time of writing a ridiculous $9,217 CAD. That withdrawal hurdle is crazy. Another feature of these scammy apps is they will show you real on chain transactions, like the ones you listed in the screen shot, as proof that they pay out. Someone took out exactly 1 ETH 16 hours ago. Very cool!

There is nothing about frequency or currency, but I would guess its USD and monthly.

The pitch here is if you pay for a premium plan you can mine your ETH faster and get your ETH off the platform sooner. If you buy the Diamond plan (the highest tier) your minimum withdrawal to 1.2 ETH.

How could the previously mentioned withdrawal of 1 ETH occur is the lowest minimum withdrawal level is 1.2 ETH.

Those numbers do lie and they spell disaster for you at Sacrifice.

I cannot confirm that this app is a scam. There is a preponderance of evidence that would suggest it is. Even if it is not a scam I highly recommend that everyone avoid ETH Miner like its the smelly kid at recess

The best possible scenario with ETH miner is that you burn close to 11 years of your life to get 2.5 ETH off the platform. The worst case scenario is you waste time money and have your wallet compromised, but its up to you.
