Fact 1 in 6 workers in the Netherlands will eventually get a burnout. Crazy right. Nowadays the work loads are crazy, combine this with stress and an unhealthy lifestyle and you might be next. There are always risks that increase the chance of burnout, but may also reduce it. Here are 4 tips that can potentially reduce the chance of a burnout and keep you healthy at work
Drink enough water
In my opinion, water is just as important as a healthy diet. By this I mean that we both really need it. At work you often get the urge to only drink coffee or soft drinks. Very tasty, but not nutritious.

Take a break when you get it
Break? Yes, in a minute. I first need to finish something. No of course not. There are breaks for a reason. That you can start fresh after your break. During your break you can relax. Eat something healthy and relax. Maybe just take a walk. You need this, otherwise you will get overworked.

Watch your posture
As a physiotherapist and future (within 1 year) osteopath, posture is one of the most important things. Your attitude is very important. Bad posture is very often the cause of a person's complaints. If you want to know what a correct sitting position is, read my post 'the step-by-step plan for a better sitting position'.

Have fun with your colleagues
I know what it is like to work alone and I know what it is like to work with my colleagues. I also know what it's like to work so hard that you don't have time to socialize with colleagues. Without socializing with your colleagues it will be very difficult to have a good time at work. You also need this for your health.
